The following registry keys are to change the color of Fonts/Seperator Lines/Today Items etc.
*please contribute as to your experience with the following hacks - and if you discover any new values!

Following hacks are located in:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color

Today Font Color

Add this line: Binary Value of "39" = 00 00 00 00

This changes the font color to black.

FF FF FF FF is white. It goes on and on. Experiment with whatever color you'd like.

Title Bar & Soft Key Menu
BaseHue (DWord) - I'm not sure what method MS uses, but 1-100 appears to be shades of gray.....very large numbers like 34583 appear to be random colors.

Today Screen Line Seperators
6 (Binary) - I found that CD CD CD 00 (i think it's RGB + Alpha) is a darker gray.

even and odd lines
16 & 37 (Binary) - This is the color that controls even and odd lines of the right color of the screens that have a gradient in the background....like in ActiveSync and Pics and Video.

even and odd lines
15 & 36 (Binary) - This is the color that controls even and odd lines of the left color of the screens that have a gradient background. (Combine this with 16 & 37 and you can do pretty cool effects)

Notification
13 & 14 (Binary) - This controls the gradient that appears on the notification dialogs (e.g. volume, email notifications, etc). 13 is the left color, 14 is the right color.

Balloon Notifications Font
27 - The color of the font that appears on the balloon notifications.

Tap & Hold Dots
40 (Binary) - The color of the tap & hold dots (aka the circle of dots when you hold down on the stylus.

Title Bar Font
9 (Binary) - Color of the title bar font.

Today Item Font
4 - Today item font color.

BaseHue value are 0-255 for grayscale, 256-495 for a colors from a hue scale (e.g. red to yellow to green, etc)

The phone application colors are controlled by a handful of gif images located in the /Windows folder. They're locked for editing so you'll have to make them writeable using a 3rd party tool before you can overwrite them.

Yes the stock phone app has all its images in the windows directory. The text (numbers/letters) are all superimposed on top of those images by the phone app, just like with the "easy phone skin hack." Changing the registry will change the color of those numbers.

The ETEN M600 skin is different. All the images are in the windows directory also, but the entire thing is made up of the images. For example: PcvDialerBkP.bmp is the dialpad in portait. All the nuimbers and letters are on that image. Changing the numbers on that image will change the numbers on the phone app. This works to our advantage because now we can dow thatever we want with those letters and numbers. PcvDialerBkP_Inv.bmp is that same image but with all the buttons pressed. Instead of swapping the entire image, it only draws the approipriate section of PcvDialerBkP_Inv.bmp on top of PcvDialerBkP.bmp to make it look like one button was pressed. So if you want to change the colors of the letters and numbers on the eten skin change the files that start with Pcv*.bmp.

To change the color of the numbers and letters on the stock phone app and the zombiephone "easy phone skin hack" you gotta change the registry.

I don't mean those numbers I meant the numbers that are "dialed", ABOVE the phone pad

It's incorrect that that it's "00 00 00 00" Four unique sections for the binary colors, there are only 3 sections. "00 00 00" would be black and "ff ff ff" would be white.

Okay, does anyone elses' colors revert back to whichever theme you have selected, every time you soft reset? I can not get my colors to stick, nor can I get any image to stay put after any reset. I'm sure it's the themes fault, but is there a way to not select a theme?

if not maybe there could be a way to have the colors changed at start up after a reset...though i don't know what the loading order would be like (if the selected theme would load in the beginning or at the end)

<- just looking for an easy reg change for a black background (maybe combined with a black image if need be)

Just tested this two ways. one having a "aftermarket" theme selected, changed the color and soft reset, and the color I changed it too stayed.

Tried by selecting a "stock" theme and my color I changed it too stayed as well.
