The GPS needs to be Group=2 not Hide=0

Actually what he has works fine. Adding a DWORD called Group with a decimal value of 2 just makes it visable in the connections settings rather than system or personal (I can not remember which)

Wow, that looks great.

Can we get any additional confirmation that these are all good? I am thinking that I'll first search out the settings in the registry and then make sure I know how to change it back, then install that cab. If something goes haywire, there are def. things I want to keep on the reload, but others I can do without.

Thanks for the work on this man.

Great Job!

I suggest you do a backup of your registry with PHM before you do it then just to make sure, actually just do a phone backup before you do it just in case. I will give it a shot when I get home to night, what about reg hacks we have done? Do I need to go back to default to do these or will it just overlay the original?

Has anyone tried this yet other than the poster?

How does it look? Does it work well or does it bug-out you phone?

FYI - one of these reg key changes corrupted my Microsoft Voice Command install. I had to uninstall then reinstall.

I am running it on my phone and have a couple buddies doing the same and it works great. Definite pickup in snappiness and I'll be running it until all the quirks are worked out of the ROMv2 update and I move up to that ROM version.

Thanks for all the kind words. Anything I can add or change to make it better, especially for the new users coming in?

Thanks for the cab, Beyondtech. My question is: is it suited for the new rom update?

TIA

That  is for Verizon for being so slow. The registry changes should work for you Sprint guys, too.

They do, and THANKS!

One thing I'd really like, and I'm sure others would as well, is where you show us exactly what is being done, if you can also give us the default values. The updates are great but I hesitated because some I didn't want, but decided in the end to just try it. I'd like to change a couple back to the factory defaults but don't know what they are so it would be very helpful to see this, along with the "what was done" list.

Thanks again.
